Rewriting Close Encounters

Text created by the computer through the use of neural nets.The computer was trained on a corpus found online that contained a variety of text — from redacted government files to eyewitness sightings, all on the topic of UFOs. I also included in the corpus the novel The Martian by Andy Weir to give the computer some creative narrative training. The output from the computer was then presented as transmissions that are sent from Mars, allowing there to be a delay from when the code was run to when the message is received, the delay is based on the actual time difference a message takes to be sent from Mars to Earth.
