Fabricating Plant Cells

Visualization of plant cells fabricated using two digital fabrication methods.Version one was created using G-Code and then drawn onto a piece of paper by a CNC machine fitted with a marker. Version two was modeled in a three dimensional NURBS editing environment. Joints were printed on Infinia 3D printer. Connectors were made out of dowels cut to specific lengths. The entire sculpture was coated with multiple transparent layers of acrylic paint.
